These tax planning opportunities include:

  • Remuneration choices for directors and shareholders of small businesses

  • Pension planning

  • Charitable donations

  • Employee benefits

  • Investment allowances on capital expenditure

  • Maximising ‘trivial benefits’ exemptions

  • Asset gifting to spouses and civil partners

Particularly, if your annual income is approaching £100,000, some of the above will prove advantageous to your tax position.

These opportunities will be lost on 5 April 2020 so if you're an individual, a family or own a limited company, speak to you tax adviser as soon as you can and start your tax planning now.
